The Pat Dawe Memorial Softball Field located at Upper Three Corner Pond Park currently has a lighting system that has been in use for over 20 years. The Town is moving forward with a project to replace the existing system with a new lighting system that will be more efficient, safer, and user-friendly. This new lighting system is similar to the systems used in other nearby ball parks.

Residents are advised that the Pat Dawe Memorial Softball Field located at Upper Three Corner Pond Park will be closed from Monday, August 17, 2020 to mid-October 2020 to facilitate the installation of a new lighting system. In addition, the trail that runs from the pond to the rear of the ball field will be closed during this period.

Construction will be in two stages:

    • Stage 1 (4-6 weeks) – installation of underground infrastructure
    • Stage 2 (2-3 weeks) – installation of poles and lighting system

    Please note:
There will be a period in between the two stages where there will be no work occurring on the actual site, while we are waiting for the lighting system to be manufactured and delivered. The field will still be an active construction site at this time and will remain closed to the general public.

The Town apologizes for any inconvenience that this may cause but the closure is required for the project construction.
