The Pat Dawe Memorial Softball Field located at Upper Three Corner Pond Park currently has a lighting system that has been in use for over 20 years. The Town is moving forward with a project to replace the existing system with a new lighting system that will be more efficient, safer, and user-friendly. This new lighting system is similar to the systems used in other nearby ball parks.

Project was approved by Council during the 2020 Budget meetings in December 2019.
Design of new lighting system
Pat Dawe Memorial Softball Field Light Replacement Project 2020 has finished this stage
Design work began in January 2020. The prime consultant for this project is Progressive Engineering.

Issued in June 2020 with selected contractor, Eastern Contracting approved by COuncil in July 2020
Stage One Construction

This stage of construction involves the installation of underground infrastructure. Construction began on August 17, 2020 and is estimated to take 4-6 weeks to complete.
Stage Two Construction
Pat Dawe Memorial Softball Field Light Replacement Project 2020 has finished this stage
This stage of construction involves the installation of poles and lighting system and is estimated to take 2-3 weeks to complete. Estimated completion date is mid-October.
