    At the Public Council Meeting held on November 2, 2020, a motion was passed for the Town of Torbay to proceed with a 2021-2022 Municipal Infrastructure application to the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure for consideration under the Investing in Infrastructure Program. The capital application estimate is $7,879,880.00 plus HST of $366,822.00 for a total of $8,246,702.00. The initiative submitted for consideration is a water treatment plant for North Pond utilizing a Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) with filtration technology. This initiative is identified in Council's 2018-2021 Strategic Plan - Torbay requires an adequate and sustainable potable water supply to meet its current and future needs.
